QUESTION

we are a video production company and have set up a new account with FLV to offer our clients short infomercials for their businesses that can be streamed on thier websites and stored on your servers. our plan is to upload flv videos via FTP that we have encoded ourselves using sorrensen squeeze, and using your RTMP streaming server. I have already uploaded a few test videos and my account seems to work using your test page. One of the first things we would like to do is set up a coulple of web pages on our website with our own player on specific areas of the page to demo the service. using your rtmp server.
My question is:
1. How can I make that happen?
2. Can I use your code generator and my video player?
if so how do you do it.
4, Is there a differnce between a progressive download player
and a RTMP Player?

1. How can I make that happen?
This question is quite vague, as we have no knowledge of your skills as an internet person
However, best answer we can give is
Create the html page
insert the player you want and connect to the videos using either swfobject or Object embed tag
(if you have ever seen youtube there is embed code )
all are similar, they are just changed to include the different SWF (player) and location of video
You may need to research object embed and how its used

2. Can I use your code generator and my video player?
if so how do you do it.
Unfortunately, no. The players have been specially formatted to interact with the programming to point to your movies folder, and for the generator codes, and server settings.
We can, for a paid support fee, add it for you. We would need the complete source files and about 2 hours of support time (possibly more after seeing the player code)
If the player has a playlist, it is not possible at this time

Yes.
Each have different coding settings

preview in progressive, then look at the code
then preview an RTMP player generate code and look to see the difference
either way, using our generator, our other players, or your own player
you can create the code to insert in a webpage. After that the design and layout options are endless
thats not something we can help with other than to make sure your account settings are right for playback
